I started doing digital marketing when I was in school. My first ever project was to help a push-cart selling coloured socks to set-up their e-commerce website & running ads to drive traffic. That was my first exposure to digital marketing when I was 18 years old. 

Went into digital marketing right after graduation and more than 10 years later, I’m running my own digital marketing agency Weave Asia.

You have to be where your customers are- Customers now are online. They are doing research on products and services online. Different types of business require different types of digital marketing plans. 

Having a well designed website & running digital marketing campaigns allows your business to be available 24/7.

In 2020, around 88.5 percent of the Singapore population were using the internet.

Nearly 90% of people use the internet to find local businesses.

$2.4 Billion , is the  amount of consumer goods purchased on ecommerce platforms in Singapore alone in 2020. 3 Million people made purchases online in Singapore in 2020. If you want a share of the pie- Yes digital marketing is important.

Is it hard to learn digital marketing?

There are many different digital marketing courses out there, being a digital marketing trainer since 2013, a lot of digital marketing courses are filled with knowledge and technical skills but do not equip learners with hands on skills and experience that is relevant to running digital marketing campaigns. Start off with some off the shelves digital marketing courses but the most important training is always hands on running some marketing campaigns.
